Nathalie Lefèvre (Belgium)

At the age of twenty-one, Nathalie Lefèvre received her Higher Diploma with distinction and the congratulations of the jury at the Mons Conservatory.


She also has been prizewinner in various competitions including the Concours International du Lyceum de Suisse.


She also occupied the position of first solo clarinet in the Nieuw Belgisch Kamer Orkest.


She regularly plays soloist with different orchestras such as : Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Beethoven Académie, Casco Phil, Orchestra of the Belgium Air Force…


She is regularly invited as first clarinet by the Belgium National Orchestra, Flemish Opera, De Philharmonie, Ictus Ensemble, Royal Flemish Philharmonic…


Since 1993, she is a co-founder and clarinet player of the chamber music ensemble Oxalys with which she performs on some of the world’s finest platforms (Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Brussel Bozar, Berlin Konzerthaus, Library of Congres in Washington…) and plays at the most prestigious festivals (Schleswig Holstein, Festival de Stavelot, Festival de Wallonie, Festival van Vlaanderen…). With this ensemble, she has made a number of CD recordings (Mozart Quintet, Reger Quintet, Joseph Jongen…).


Nathalie Lefèvre teaches clarinet at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, at the Carré des Arts in Mons and at the school of music of Berchem Ste Agathe.


She also gives various masterclasses at the International Music Academy in Fort Mahon (France), Dinant, Roisin (Belgium), Kumamoto (Japan).
